In 2007 there was adopted a regional task program for support of the rural club establishments of the Krasnodar Region for 2007-2009, aimed at preservation and development of the centers of culture in the remote rural areas.
In 2006, the law "About the Support of Cinematography of the Krasnodar Region" has been adopted which determined the basic directions of activity of the bodies of state and municipal authority of the region in the sphere of cinematography. For the purpose of social support and encouragement of the gifted pupils and students of educational institutions of culture and art 50 grants have been instituted by the Krasnodar Region’s Administration. From this year on the grant size has been increased up to 1,000 rubles a month.
Pupils and students of educational institutions of culture and art of the region are grant-aided students of the Federal Agency of Culture and cinematography of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
One of forms of the state support of the gifted children and youth of the region became establishment of thirteen grants for the gifted children and creative youth by the Department of Culture.

The Krasnodar regional universal scientific library named after A.S. Pushkin is established on February 10, 1900 in honor of the 100th anniversary from the date of the poet's birth. Its pre-revolutionary collection is the unique one.
The Krasnodar state history and archeology culture preserve named after E.D. Felitsyn is one of the leading museum establishments of the local history structure of Russia. The main museum is created in 1879, and the culture preserve is established in 1977. By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation it has been referred to the objects of federal (all-Russian) value.
The structure of the culture preserve is comprised of the main museum of local history in Krasnodar, the Timashevsk's museum of the Stepanovy family, the Anapa's archeological museum, the Temryuk's museum of history and archeology, and the museum complex of Taman.
The museum is a methodical center for museums of the North-Caucasian region, the coordinator of work of the Southern affiliate of the Scientific Council of historical museums and those of regional studies at the Ministry of Culture and mass communications of the Russian Federation.
The funds of the culture preserve keep more than 350 thousand original exhibits, including the unique collections of ancient arts and crafts, archeology, and materials about nature, history, and ethnography of Kuban.
The fund exhibitions of the museum have been successfully exhibited in Moscow, St.Petersburg, regions of Russia, as well as in Germany, France, Colombia, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, and Japan. A significant event in the cultural life became an exhibition "Gold of Amazons" held in France and Russia, which was arranged in cooperation with the Rostov Region's museums.
In 2007 the Kuban Cossack Army's regalia which exhibition in a museum became a major landmark on the way of restoration of historical justice, and revival of the Cossack traditions, have been returned to the native land.
Every year the culture preserve is attended by more than 500 thousand inhabitants and visitors of Kuban, exhibitions, regional reviews, and competitions are being actively held.
The culture preserve possesses the staff of the top skills, among which: doctors and candidates of sciences, developers and participants of the international, Russian and regional projects and programs. Every year the scientific conferences, traditional "Readings of Felitsyn", "Readings of Stepanov" are held, books, collections of articles and messages are published.
The museum became an initiator of cooperation with clubs of historical reconstruction, and other public youth associations. Since 2007, a festival has been held in region by the club of historical reconstruction "Chernomorskoye Porubezhye".

The Krasnodar Regional Art Museum was founded by Fyodor Akimovichem Kovalenko in 1904 — a Yekterinodar's art amateur, is presently one of leading museums of art of the south of Russia.

The Krasnodar Regional Showroom of the Fine Arts was established in 1989. The first exhibition took place in 1990. The hall is a basic exhibition platform of the Southern Federal District. Over the years of functioning it has become one of most frequently visited establishments of culture, a center of popularization of the modern fine arts, creations of the artists of Russia and Kuban, a traditional place of carrying out the regional art exhibitions of the "South of Russia". The Historical Culture Preserve of Novorossiysk — one of the largest culture preserves of a military-historical structure of Russia, comprised, in addition to the basic expositions, of the objects of the Great Patriotic War period of 1941-1945, a monument-ensemble "Malaya Zemlia (The Small Land)", the house-museum of N.A. Ostrovsky, and an exhibition hall.

The funds of the culture preserve store more than 150 thousand original objects, relics of the wartime, monuments of history and nature, and ethnographic materials.
Annually the culture preserve's objects are attended by some 200 thousand inhabitants and visitors of the region. The exhibition and educational activity of the museum plays an important role in the military-patriotic and moral education of the Kuban's youth.
For creation of the stationary exhibitions "Old Novorossiysk" and "Nature of the Novorossiysk Area", the group of employees of the culture preserve has been awarded premiums of the Krasnodar Region’s Administration in the field of science, education and culture.
The museum actively conducts the research work regarding the period of Great Patriotic War, organizes the theoretical and practical conferences, carries out publications in the Russian and regional editions concerning the problems of military history and museum collections, actively participating in both the regional and city events and festivals.
The Krasnodar State Academic Drama Theatre was established in January of 1920 as "the first Soviet Drama Theatre named after Lunacharsky". Originally it was housed in a building of the Zimny Theatre (nowadays, the Krasnodar Philharmonic Society), since 1973 — in a new building with a big and the chamber halls on the square of the Great October Revolution. In 1980, the theatre was awarded an Order of the Labor Red Banner. In 1996 to theatre was bestowed upon an "academic" title.
The repertoire of the Krasnodar theatre of ballet of Jury Grigorovich is comprised of 14 performances of the Russian and global musical classics. The theatre participated in the festivals of arts of Europe, America, and the countries of Asia. It has performed four times with a great success on the St. Petersburg's stage of Mariinsky Theatre.
The first mention of the Krasnodar regional puppet theatre dates back to April 1939. In the spirit of those days, it was called "The Krasnodar's Travelling Kolkhoz and Sovkhoz Puppet Theater". S. Marshak was one of the initiators of the first Kuban's theatre for children.
Among the concert organizations of the region, a special place belongs to the State Academic Kuban Cossack Chorus that has been conducted for more than three decades by a national artist of Russia and Ukraine, the winner of the State premium of Russia, the Hero of Labor in Kuban V.G. Zakharchenko. An outstanding creative collective of the country, springing from the Kuban Army Singing Chorus, the State Academic Kuban Cossack Chorus has a famous, original history marked by the high artistic achievements. The collective became the winner of the All-Russian competitions of the state national choruses, the winner of numerous international competitions and festivals, awarded an Order of the People's Friendship twice, is honored with the State Premium named after T.G. Shevchenko, the Republic of Ukraine. Spectators of more than 100 countries of the world cordially received it. It deservingly bears a banner of the original Cossack Art of Kuban.
A creative association "Premiere" successfully operates in the region, which, in 2007, was named after its founder — a national artist of Russia, a winner of the state theatrical premium named after F. Volkov, the Hero of Labor in Kuban L.G.Gatov. The structure of the creative association is comprised of the Musical Theatre and the Ballet Theatre of Jury Grigorovich, the Youth Theatre and the New Puppet Theatre, the Musical Show-Theatre of "Premiere", symphonic, jazz, and brass bands, the "Premiere-Orchestra" of stringed instruments, ensembles "Krinitsa" and "Rodnik", a children's theatre of singing and other creative collectives. Creative collectives of TO "Premiere" perform abroad much; they successfully represent the Russian art at prestigious festivals in Germany and Japan. The artists performed in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Lebanon, Turkey, the USA, and Great Britain.
The Krasnodar Philharmonic Society was created on May 10, 1939.
Such renowned masters of the arts, as Lyudmila Zykina, Joseph Kobzon, Boris Shtokolov, Zurab Sotkilava, Nikolay Petrov, Anna Netrebko, and Valery Gergiev performed on the stage of the Krasnodar Philharmonic Society.
